There's combativeness in maintaining our artistic whimsy and the blending of it with the darker, and honestly human parts of ourselves is in itself a kind of magic. One that keeps a lot of us going even through the worst of it. In times like these it may be our strongest weapon.

I'm grateful to get to freely create and release through mediums that carry our passions forward and contribute to keeping art human.

Fantasy and finding beauty in the dark saved myself and so many others in times of chaos and destruction beyond our control.

My art used to have to be secret in order to be safe, but now it's where I found I can finally connect to others. An opportunity to unveil a softness in spite of the hell and the fruits of surviving.

Being messy and authentic rarely ever feels comfortable, but through clay and paint it feels right.
